A good way to keep your baby or toddler entertained during your outside adventures is to mix up the ‘mode of transport’.

We all encounter that period when all of a sudden your baby is learning to crawl or your toddler who is keen to explore, no longer sits happily in their pram. Well, welcome to our parenting hacks! Below we selected our favourite picks for baby carriers, wagons, bike seats and trailers right through to our fave trikes with handles.

During these developmental leaps, sub in one of our alternative ‘modes of transport’ and avoid the struggle to strap them into the pram. A change is as good as a holiday right?!

The Yepp bike seat was a favourite in our house. We often utilised local bike tracks on sunny days to get out and explore.

Compatible with most bike models, the soft shock-absorbing seat coupled with the adjustable padded 5-point harness will ensure your child is safe and comfortable during their ride. Your child is quickly and easily secured with the childproof safety buckle.

Babboe Curve – Bafang Electric

This tricycle is the ideal transport vehicle to bring your kids to school or daycare and it is a cheaper more sustainable alternative to using a car. You can transport up to four children and even carry your groceries! #winning! Babboe Curve has been extensively tested by the German TÜV (Technischer Überwachungs-Verein- Technical Inspection Association) for safety and durability.

To make things even better for Australian conditions, the Babboe Curve has been fitted with a Bafang BBS02 mid-drive motor rated at 250 Watts. Outback Two Child Trailer

Instead of a double pram, have you thought about a bike trailer that can be used on its own as well as an option towing behind a bike?
Suitable for use over all kinds of terrain this has a reclining seat back offering three different positions so that children can sit or sleep comfortably during the ride.

Adjustable suspension is also included to give your passengers a steady ride. Built to hold up to two young passengers (6mths and over) it features a solid aluminum frame and provides optimal protection of the children.

The front of the carrier is equipped with the unique Safe Connection Point which secures a safe switch between the bicycle arm, stroller wheel and jogger wheel.
