How do I transition out of the swaddle?
Once your baby shows signs of rolling (often around 2–4 months), it’s time to move out of a full swaddle for safety. Shift to an arms-out sleep sack so baby can use their arms to reposition. You can offer your Riff Raff comforter during settling; keep it supportive, not forced, and always follow local safe-sleep guidance.
Try tonight
- Use a swaddle-to-arms-out transition (start with one arm out).
- Hold the comforter near during settling but don’t force contact.
- Monitor startle reflexes and give a few nights for the change to stick.

I purchased after seeing a ★★★★★
I purchased after seeing a friend with her son's toy. My daughter has really responded well to the white noise and that is now played at nap times, and also helps her calm in the car if she wakes while I’m driving… Overall it has helped her to self-settle from 2 months old—she doesn’t cry and goes to bed awake and drifts off to the sound. Thank you for making her so comfortable :)

I was beyond sceptical, but ★★★★★
We were very fortunate that our newborn slept relatively well at night, but daytime naps were 10-minute catnaps and witching hour was rough. Then came Bandit. With better swaddling and blackout plus Bandit’s sound, our little man now takes three daytime naps and sleeps 7 PM–7 AM waking only for feeds. Worth every dollar!

Peachy Bear ★★★★★
We struggled transitioning out of the swaddles once rolling started. After weeks of short naps we tried Riff Raff—now our son sleeps on his side hugging Peachy Bear. We were also gifted Bandiddy the Bandit and our little boy is in love.
